7 artworks commissioned by the Vatican to 7 of the principal contemporary artists and dedicated to John Paul II.
The initiative, organized by Alfredo Paglione and Giovanni Gazzaneo, has seen the collaboration of Don Pasquale Silla, rector of Santuario della Madonna del Divino Amore. The Sanctuary, important church of Rome, was the location for the the sacred collection inauguration.
As Karol Wojtyla said in his Letter to the artists in 1999: “[…] Church needs Art. It has the commitment to make real and, if possible, more fascinating the world of spirituality, of invisible, of God.”. Each artist has presented his representation of the Pope, in a portrayed able to express his sweetness, his charisma and his immense spirituality.

After Venice Biennale, Stefano Piali confirms his success with two important exhibitions on next 29th and 30th July. Undoubtedly, Palazzo Venezia experience will leave its mark in the career of Piali. Vittorio Sgarbi himself, during the inauguration of Lazio Pavilion, expresses his appreciation about Piali artwork presented the past June 23rd. The next artistic appointment is on July 29th, when the International Art Review G.B. Salvi will be opened in Sassoferrato (Ancona), curated by Gabriele Simongini.
